Visa information
Do you need a visa?
Most visitors from EU countries, the US, Canada, Australia, and many other nations can enter Germany without a visa for short business trips. Check the official requirements for your country at the official German website.
Applying for a visa
If you do need a visa, apply at least 6-8 weeks before your travel date, ideally earlier during peak seasons. Applications can be submitted up to six months in advance.
Good news for exhibitors: As of July 24, 2013, official invitation letters from trade fair organisers are no longer required when applying for German trade fair visas. Exhibitors with an official exhibitor pass are also exempt from visa fees.
Need supporting documentation?
If your visa type requires supporting documents (such as an invitation letter), contact the Show Team, who can provide the necessary paperwork.
Important: We cannot process visa applications on your behalf or accept financial responsibility for travel arrangements due to legal restrictions. We recommend initiating your visa arrangements well in advance to ensure you obtain your visa before the start of the exhibition. Applications can be made as early as six months before the time of travel.
