Celebrating our 10th Show, Aircraft Interiors Expo 2009 once again proved itself to be The Global Market Place for the Interiors Industry, despite a less optimistic outlook than in previous years the show was as busy as ever.
Over 300 exhibitors and 11,000 attendees including key buyers from 200 airlines gathered in Hamburg, the place for aviation, between the 31st March and 2nd April 2009 to see the latest innovation and technology the industry has to offer.
We were proud to host, for the first time ever in a live format, the World Airline Awards by Skytrax at the 2009 event. Voted for by over 16 million passengers worldwide, the World Airline Awards is the only truly independent recognition of airline standards. Attending the awards were senior representatives from many of the worlds major airlines including Virgin, Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways, British Airways, Emirates and Air Asia.
The Crystal Cabin Awards, hosted by the Joint Initiative – Hamburg, now in its third year, were also held during the show. The Award has now become firmly established internationally as the world’s only award to recognize outstanding and innovative aircraft cabin products and concepts.
