What did I miss in 2015 - Day 3

#AIX2015 Day 3

Day 3 at Aircraft Interiors Expo was business as usual for our exhibitors and visitors and there was still just as much innovation filling the Hamburg Messe as there was on Day 1 and 2.

Exhibitors:

Returners who have been in attendance this year are B/E Aerospace, Zodiac, Panasonic and many more. The IFE Zone has increased in size by 31% and exhibitors who could be found here were the likes of Lemexis, Thales and Rockwell Collins.

Today we caught up with David Skwarek, Director of Marketing at Gogo who explained what they thought of the show and talked about one of their exciting products, their industry leading streaming entertainment product.

News:

Zodiac Aerospace has enhanced its Fusio business-class seat, which was introduced as a concept at last year’s show, and is looking for a launch customer to bring it into service as soon as possible. Airline Services Interiors (ASI) has won a contract from British Airways to integrate a new IFE system on 18 Boeing 747-400s. Lufthansa Technik has announced that they have partnered with Quantas Airways and Zim Flugsitz to develop a wireless IFE concept that will enable tablet computers to be securely fixed to the back of the seat. The solution enables devices such as Apple iPads to be fitted to the back of a seat inside a secure holder, so passengers can wirelessly access the IFE during all stages of flight. In-flight connectivity provider Gogo has unveiled a new messaging platform which enables cabin crew to communicate with each other and the ground. This enables many airline operational benefits which overcomes the issue in the past where cabin crew were the least connected of all the airline staff.

It’s a wrap:

Thank you to everyone who visited and exhibited at Aircraft Interiors 2015 over the past 3 days to help make the show the most successful one yet, we’ve enjoyed reading your lovely tweets and comments.
