Top Tips

As we get closer to Aircraft Interiors Expo we want to ensure you have all the information to make your first show at Hamburg Messe as smooth and productive as possible.

Over the coming weeks we will be updating these Top Tips with information will help with travel, set up and the open period at the show.

Top Tip 1: Where you can eat in Hamburg Messe

During the build up period only the cafe in Hall B4 will be open but you can also go to the larger cafe in the Aircraft Interiors Expo Hall B7. There are catering facilities in Halls B1, B3 and B4 so you won’t go hungry during the show. If you want catering for your stand please contact Stockheim Catering on email hamburg@standcatering.de or visit their website www.standcatering.de

For options on where to eat in the evenings why not visit the Hamburg Tourism website.

Top Tip 2: Don't take too much material

Don’t be tempted to take more literature than you will need to the show as anything left at the venue will incur a charge for waste. Why not have links to your website on your business cards as well as making your make collateral available online..

QR codes are also a great way for customers with smartphones to access your information, why not include these on your business cards and stand panels.

Top Tip 3: Make sure your current clients know you will be at the show

Exhibitions provide a great opportunity to catch up with existing clients as well as make new connections so make sure your clients know you will be there. We can offer you many tools to help promote yourself, so why not request a show banner to put on your own website which includes your stand number.

Don't forget to add a line to your emails and letters telling your clients where they can find you at the show.

Top Tip 4: If you need extra storage, order it now!

If you need any additional stores at the show then contact DB Schenker who will be able to arrange this for you. Accessible cold and freezer storage can also be organised with DB Schenker.

Contact Michelle Bird to discuss your requirements.

Top Tip 5: There is a Business Services Centre available

If you need any last minute photocopying when you arrive at the show this can be done in the Business Services Centre located in the East Entrance to Hall B4, close to the Organisers Office. Other services available here include internet access, email, telephone and fax facilities.

Top Tip 6: Get extra promotion by sending us your press releases

Our PR company, CMS Strategic, are always looking for news to use in our emails promoting the show to potential visitors and to send out to trade media covering the event.

Make the most of this free promotional opportunity by sending your press releases to Carol Seath.

Top Tip 7: Don't forget to order your stand services before the price increase

Ensure you have ordered your stand services from the Hamburg Messe Exhibitor Services team. These services include electrics, rigging & suspended items, IT & internet services plus many more.

To see the full list of services you may require, log in to the Exhibitor Manual via the Exhibitor Portal - coming soon!

Top Tip 8: Pre order your parking passes

Don't forget to order your parking passes before you arrive. All car parking facilities are located under the exhibition halls so remember to bring a small trolley with you to help move your exhibits from your vehicle to your stand.

Parking passes can be ordered in the Exhibitor Manual, accessed via the Exhibitor Portal - coming soon!

Top Tip 9: Make sure your valuables are kept safe

Although we do our very best to keep the exhibition halls as safe as we can, with all the traffic that passes through during build up, show open and breakdown, we do need your help. Make sure your valuable items do not become a target, keep them out of sight and locked away.

For guidance read the 'Security' section in the Exhibitor Manual, accessed via the Exhibitor Portal - coming soon!

Top Tip 10: Order your personalised floorplan and registration page

Ensure your clients know exactly where to find you at the show by ordering a personalised floorplan showing your stand location within the exhibition halls. These can also be personalised with your logo and a message inviting attendees to come and visit your stand.

Available from January 2013 example coming soon

To request your personalised floorplan and registration page, please email Antonia Webster.

Top Tip 11: Contact Lueco for any Shell Scheme or Nameboard issues

Lueco provide all the shell scheme and nameboards at the show. If you find any aspect of your stand is missing or incorrect please report this to Lueco at the Venue Services desk based in the East Entrance.

Top Tip 12: Check your neighbours electrics before reporting a fault

Please be aware that your electrics might not be turned on when you arrive to set up your stand. Before reporting any issue to Venue Services, in the East Entrance, check the other stands in your block. If no other stand has lights or power you will need to wait for the electricians to finish their set up. However if your neighbour does have lights but your stand does not this should be reported.

Top Tip 13: Press releases must be supplied electronically for the Media Centre

Aircraft Interiors Expo operates a paperless media centre which means all press releases must be supplied electronically to CMS Strategic . Before suppling any releases please ensure you read the submission guidelines as to what format and size can be accepted.
