Crystal Cabin Awards

• Little surprises with a big effect

  Since 2007 the Crystal Cabin Awards have been presented during Aircraft Interiors Expo and this year seven trophies will be awarded celebrating innovation within the aircraft cabin.
  
  In total 47 submissions from 11 countries were entered for the awards this year and from these a total of 21 were selected as finalists.  The University award is always highly anticipated and students from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands along with students from Germany’s Dresden University of Technology and Hamburg University of Applied Sciences are all in the running.  

   

  

   

   

• Acro Aircraft Seating, Paperclip Design and Zodiac Aerospace have made it to the final three in the Industrial Design & Visionary Concepts category, while Dornier Technologie Systems, Lufthansa Tecknik and Zodiac Seats are nominated for the Premium Class & VIP award.  Finalists in the remaining four categories include Diehl Aircabin, MERU, Zodiac Airline Cabin Interiors, ROW 44, Thales, Zodiac Premium Galleys, Avia Technique, Boeing, RECARO Aircraft Seating and Rogers Corporation.

• What were the categories?

  The categories have been revised by the Judging Panel and are now even more specific, so that comparisons within the categories are even fairer. The categories are:
